LANDSCAPE (PROTEUS 2000 SEQUENCE)
ABOUT
The piece was written about Dartmoor – a bleak, lonely and desert like landscape, home to the remote Dartmoor prison. But Dartmoor was once the home of people and industry -mining for tin and other metals. The landscape is elusive, constantly shifting and a dangerous place where it easy to get lost – with dire consequences. I lived on the moor some years ago when this was written. Dartmoor, like Belmarsh, is synonymous with ‘prison’.
