ABOUT

This work was made in 2019, with the intention to awake peoples’ mental activity to act against the political class here in Albania. It was created for the purpose to start a civil protest, at that year, against the model of governing Albania the last three decades. Influenced the point of view that everything that we create as mankind begins from within, inside and conditioned by our mental activity and intellectual strength, knowledge, courage and will, I created this work that shows an open window in the human mind. A window, a must look at, towards necessary future transformation.

KRISTIAN ZARA BIOGRAPHY

I was born in 1986 in Elbasan, Albania. I began to study visual arts since I was 11 years old. Leaving Albania in 2005, I have lived in Athens, Edinburgh and  Dundee. I studied arts in the Athens School of Fine Arts, and MFA at the University of Dundee. I have worked in different fields of arts spectrum, as a teacher of painting and drawing, curator, critic and other ordinary jobs (kitchen chef respectively) to keep myself on and to pay for my studies. I am since very concerned by the way things are going politically and socially, it was in autumn of 2018 I decided to go back at home and contribute to built a fair and democratic system for the future. This is one of my duties that I owe to my dear family, friends and all kinds that are coming on the next generation.
